Hey everyone! I hope ya'll are doing well as you're reading this. I just got back from Madison, as I mentioned previously.  It's actually farther away than I thought...it took like 3 hours to get there. Buuut, we had an excellent time! Mike Jackson, from Tennessee Tech, was the speaker, and he's a really neat guy. It was so refreshing just to hear the gospel again and be reminded of it.  He talked about getting into the family business, and how Christianity is a family business, and we all work for our Father. It was a really neat relation and it's kinda given me a better outlook on outreach and how we all work together.

We also got to hang out with some cool cats from ISU and IUPUI, and that is always fun when we meet new people. Like Matt, who graduated from Rose Hulman and now is at ISU getting his masters degree. We learned swing dancing on Friday night, and that was amazing! Chad and Mandy taught everyone-they should become professionals! Ross and I danced and made fun of ourselves (like everyone else) because we always got tangled up. Good times! But I think the coolest thing I learned this weekend was something I already knew, but just needed to hear it outloud and have it re-iterated. It's really simple, and it's that God is the King. He does not need advice from us, and what he tells us is not advice for another day. He's commanding us to go out and preach the gospel, not just think about it. He's commanding us to love one another and find discipleship, not just suggesting it. We need to walk in faith and practice that walk daily. It's not a once a week exercise, but a daily lifestyle. Ok, well I think that's all I have to say about that. I hope that all made sense to you, and if you have any questions about what I'm talking about, feel free to contact me!

Verse of the day: 1 Corinthians 10:31 - "So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God."

In Him

Hey all! So, the roommates were making these, so I decided I would be cool and make one, too. Exciting,  huh? So, it's been a pretty exciting day! My weekend started at 10:15 this morning, and I got to go to Busy Beedz with the Fired Up! crew to make some cool things, then I got to work IM basketball, which is always the highlight of my day!  Ok, so tomorrow I'm leaving for Madison, IN. I have no clue where it's at, but I'm not driving, so that's great. It's a campus outreach winter retreat. Yay for retreats! And ISU and IUPUI will be in attendace as well. Good times with friends and Jesus! Well, hope you had fun reading about my very exciting life (right). I'm out!
